spinal tap causing a flare?

Anybody have any idea if a spinal tap can bring on a flare?  Spinal tap was last Thursday - other than mild headache & backache, thought I escaped pretty easily.

Yesterday I began having a really bad headache, last night vertigo & tingling, hot & cold...couldn't sleep.

going to call the neuro today & see if this is a possibility.

Hugs,
chrisy

The neuro basically said what Udkas replied.  The headache could be making things seem worse.  Told me to monitor - if symptoms last longer than 24 hours, then I would be in a flare.  Lots of rest, caffeine (which I can't drink items that have caffeine) and wait it out for now.  If the headache continues tomorrow then I will call back to what to do.

Hi Chrisy, I had what I thought was a flare after I had my spinal tap done and I rang the Neuro and he said that it would not bring on a flare but I guess you could have a flare anyway.

But we talked about my LP in my appointment yesterday, the LP gave me a slight headache (migraine), my flare of tingling, vertigo etc. was migraine aura, like I said in my post I get migraine aura without the migraine, we discussed how to tell the difference as well, because as Quix said ages ago, migraine muddies things and confuses it. Migraine symptoms come and go more readily but can mimic MS symptoms..

I hope you feel better soon, maybe you need a patch,
Cheers,
Udkas.

Does the headache get better if you lie down? Calling the neurologist sounds good to me.
