Here we go again, Going in for Evoked potential testing

Well, I talked to my Neuro's office, and told them of the symptoms I was having. My Neuro confirmed that blurry eyes when overheating has nothing to do with Vitamin D. I'm off for another MRI, and an Evoked potentials test. He hasn't suggested what he thinks it is, but I have a feeling I know where he is going with it. We shall soon see.

Thanks for reading
John

Thanks for the thoughtful comments everyone, I really appreciate them.

As for worrying about the results, lol, trust me, I'm not going to. I'm starting to feel like I'm holding on to a rope, being drug by a wild horse, and I'm to stupid to let go, hehe. I'm really starting to not care what they find at this point, so long as I can find a way to maintain a somewhat normal life, and keep working. I have learned to accept the pain, and the hot needles and such. If I can find a way around this stinking temperature thing, I think I'll be alright.

Wow, I just read that, and it really sounds depressive, lol. Don't worry, I'm just pooped out lately. Thank you all for the head's up, and welcome concerns.

I always am dubious when someone is told that Vit. D problems are at the root of their symptoms. That's because, for those who have posted here, I don't remember a single one for whom that turned out to be true. Not to say that this vitamin deficiency doesn't cause problems, just that this solution seems way overworked.

I hope you do finally get to the bottom of things. For me, evoked potentials were no big deal at all. May it be that way for you too.

Please let us know how things go.

Good luck with your tests, Johnny.  I was so hoping that all of your problems were due to Vit D deficiency!  Please keep us posted....

Stay cool !

Hi John

Best of luck with your next round of tests. I found the VEP tests quite uncomfortable and made me feel a bit like I was on a fairground ride which is not my thing. However other people seem to have sailed through fine. My results were abnormal but to date I have had no visual problems so will just wait and see.... Hope all goes well for you, don't make assumptions about your results and keep an open positive mind

Cheers

Sarah

Good luck,

If I understand correctly the person giving the test knows right then what the results are, but WON'T share that with you in any way.  It's like the xray tech seeing a broken bone, but lets the Dr tell the type of break & location.

If your having the test done at the hospital you might want to get a copy of the results,  but try not to read to much into yourself.

The dot test or the flashing blocks gave me a whopper of headache afterwards. Your not aware of it, but they repeat the test twice to avoid a false positive or negative result,

John.
