flu shot

I have MS, and recently switched from Copaxone shots (on for 5 1/2 yrs) to Tysabri infusions (I've had three) due to slow decline. I have a flu shot every fall and was wondering if I should have one this year since I'm on a new med.

I am not sure with regard to Tysabri.  You need to put in a call to your neurologist's office.

For others on no meds or one of the firstline DMDs (Avonex, Betaseron,
Copaxone, Rebif) Absolutely the flu shot is recommended.  Any reaction from the shot will be far less than the mayhem that a case of the flu will cause.
