what next?

Hello everyone!  July 2006-This all started in my thumb and spread.
stabbing pains, tingling, slight numbness, burning, itching, stiffness, weakness, bladder urgency, bladder spasms, back spasms, wishy washy in the head, threw up a couple of times, constricting feeliing after urination, and creepy crawling sensations. This all ended with a bladder infection. This all lasted about 5-6 weeks.  Finally went to Dr.  Was sent to neuro. 1 month later did MRI,s-normal.  Neuro told me sometimes things just manifest themselves.  Left feeling like a crazy person.  I never get sick and go to doctors.  I don't even have health insurance.  To this day I still get numb toes, creepy crawly sensations and stabbing pains that just come and go all over.  Any suggestions on what to do next?
thanks
Kathy

hello, you described exactly the symptoms that i went through for three months, we jokingly called it the three month flu, many people around me also got it, so we knew it was a virus of some sort, i went through every test possible and all major diseases ruled out, finally it was discovered that there was a powerful drug resistant bug present in my rectum. antibiotics didnt get rid of it. just time and panadol everytime an attack came on finally got rid of it. it usually would start with a hot flush, also colder weather would bring it on. hope itll help you.

Have you had any other test (ex. blood work, EMG)? Did the neuro do a follow-up? Did they give you any medication for your symptoms?

My suggestion is,if the neuro didn't do some or all of these things you need to find another neuro. One that will listen and help your symptoms. I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say that it's been too long for you to feel bad with no answers.

Your doctors need to do other test in order to find the answer. MS is like a great big puzzle. They have to fit all the pieces together (blood work, LP, VEP, MRI with contrast of the brain & spine, and symptoms) to get the picture.

Good Luck & hang in there
