itching???? is it associated with MS?

I have one more question please ..... I have had several bouts of itching in various places, mostly the legs. I have not got a rash and have used no new products. There does not appear to be a reason for this. Is this a possible characteristic of MS ?

thanks

  Thank you ... i feel better knowing it is something others have but also feel bad that you all have to deal with it too. I have lumps all over me from the "back scratcher" i searched high and low to buy. My husband also got up at odd hours to help me. He even gave me a pair of gloves because I was tearing my skin up ... :-}

Thanks to all

Hi, yes I experienced itching like crazy on both legs a few days before I started with numbness/tingling in feet. Then once the tingles climbed all the way up to my chest, I had frequent periods of itchiness over my back and stomach. My wonderful wife used to have to itch my back at some inconvenient times - like 2am! Fortunately, the ichiness has now subsided.

Anyways, best of luck to you.

Blessings

I always am itchy too and just thought it was all in my head or something.  Good to know that there might actually be a medical reason causing it!

Pam, I like your screen name! So sad but true!

I am not dx'd with ms,still in limbo, but I too have had the " itch", where I scratched til I would bleed.
Three years of it, and finally the raw patch on my hand healed, but when I am hot, or my hand is in hot water, or even the core of my body is hot due to nervousness, or something, it acts up!

Horrible feeling! Good luck to you,
Pam

Many of us have had a paresthesia that presents as itching.  I scratched my ankle raw a few times.
