Need help with question, please

Still have nagging question from lp experience.  At one point when I  was starting feel as though I were going to pass out, the doc made a comment that "she is pooling".  Please does anyone know what that means? and why after saying it did doc take my pulse? Also, doc mentioned to me "ok your pulse is coming back", is there a slight chance that it might not have?  Just curious and is driving me bonkers.

Thanks again to all of you for helping me through this

Thank you...

Was a scary feeling and it is good to have an idea what the situation might have been.  Thank you and appreciated the feedback

This actually could have meant almost anything. It really doesn't ring a bell with me aobut what the doc was referring to in the comment, but in taking you pulse he/she could have wanted to make sure that you weren't having a reaction to any medicine they gave you or confirm that you may have been  having a vaso-vegal episode---maybe cause by a nerve that was hit during the procedure. Meaning that your pulse and blood pressure both dropped due to nerve stimuli, it's an automatic body response.  The body then tries to bring your bp and pulse back to normal.  You felt faint because your bp and pulse dropped and your vessels were automatically responding to a signal from the brain to clamp down-constrict- so your blood would be sent to the core organs-your heart/lungs/brain and your pulse and bp could come back up.

This is only my opinion though and not begin there to hear him/her, like i said it could have been almost anything. I've heard some docs say things during  procedures that had nothing to do with what they were suppost to be doing too!  6 of one and 1/2 dozen of another.

I hope this makes sense to you.  I know what i'm trying to say but with the way the MS has effected some of my cognitive abilities it sounds right to me but not to others.  anyway i hope this helps some

Hi

I think its to do with your blood pressure dipping "pooling" but im not a hundred per cent sure. I had a simular feeling when having a spinal block i thought i was going to pass out but i think that was more linked to what they used.
