I'm 54 so Older doesn't count. I was diagnosed @51 and apparently I've had MS since I was 31 or so. I would continue to urge nyoun to seek a qualified secind opinion :-)

I am not a medical professional of any variety, but I do feel qualified to state the following. This alledged MS specialist needs to be replaced. I just finished walking 2.75 miles and I have SPMS. Too mobile? That may be the most astounding thing I've ever heard from a neuro.

Hi DP - Welcome to the group.

The short answer is yes, you can have MS with a negative LP and clean cervical MRI.  Many of our friends here do not have unuque obands in their CSF.  And there is nothing in the McDonald criteria that says you have to have both brain and c-spine lesions. It says you need to have lesions in more that one place in your central nervous system. You seem to meet that criteria.

What do your doctors say?
