It may be time to get thee to the ER and request the help of a blood patch.  Have you called the doctor about this? Please don't suffer unnecessarily - we don't give badges for that skill.

as always,

Oooohhh, been there, done that, got the T-shirt.  I spent 4 days with that and then told my husband to just take me out back and shoot me!  He took me to the hospital, instead, and I got a blood patch.  Instant Relief!!!  So much better!

Best thoughts for pain relief!

Roncart - as far as knowing, you will know for sure if it happens.  It's obvious.  Not like your typical headache - it's a bone crushing pain that subsides immediately when you lay flat.....  They had no troubles getting my fluid, and I did everything they said to do.  It's just one of those unavoidable scenarios that can happen even when you follow all the all the rules.

Good luck to you with yours!  You'll be fine! And, if it does happen there are the 2 options!

Maggs, don't you be getting up and down now.... "Seal Well" I mean, Feel Well Soon!

Ouch.  I took a look at your pictures.  If the same doctor who did the LP would be the same doctor to patch, I'd say never-mind and try to rough it out for a couple of days.  This doctor is a bit rusty on giving LP's.  He could use a set of bifocals or something.

I've had two done.  Once in the ER.  After the procedure, I left and went about my business.  The 2nd one caused me to have to lie flat for two days. It was very painful but felt better as each hour passed.

On the other hand, you have so many punctures.  If your head begins to hurt while lying down, call the doctor.  Maybe someone else fills in for him on the weekends.  Crossing my fingers for you.
