Thanks Marymoto.

Today the eye pain is back and the blurred vision is worsening.  When I look out the bad eye, little flashes of light/circles dart all over.

Today is day 2 off the IV... here's to hoping this flare calms down. *shrug*  It's been exactly one month now :(

Today is my last day (5-day prescript) and my headaches went away yesterday, but optic neuritis is still quite bad.  I started with the methylPred. disolvable powder for 3-days a month ago then, immediately to the prednisone tapered pack.  After I quit the prednisone, all symptoms worsened.

IV steroids were prescribed for 5-days (stated in the beginning), but my vision is still not well.  I've had the ON since 11/10, and am really worried it may never return back to normal due to the length of the attack, and treatments still not working :/

No major side effects other than weight gain.

I don't know about the injection, but I did an oral burst and taper of prednisone over 10 days and I felt better for a week than I have all summer!

Hope it helps for a long while!
my best,
Karen
