more results and more frustrated

Hello all I recently posted on here. i have been having nerve spasms that can be seen under the skin and involuntary muscle movements. Also migrains and dizziness and some loss of memory issues. And my legs have been feeling very weak and burning and sometimes wanting to colapse from under me. Dr did envoked potential test it was normal. A ct and blood work both normal. My emg of upper body was normal and my eeg was ok even though it was abnormal in 2009. He finished up the needle portion of the emg today so no results on that. But when he came in first question he asked was if i filed for ssi yet i was like no. Thinking to myself how would i do that when i don't even know what wrong with me. And then he asked me for the second time how many kids i have and what age bracket they were in. After at the last apt he made the comment that we have to get to the bottom of this that i needed to be around for my kids. And he said well im glad your ct was ok  i was really worried about ms. I said by the way why did you do a ct instead of an mri. And by then he knew i had a clue on what i was talking about. And he got this grin on his face and gave me a story about insurance being a pain when it came to mris and that if i wanted one he would do up the paperwork for it. So i go for mri on monday the 6th and then back to him for results of that and the emg of the legs on the 20t. if i still don't have any awnsers im going to someone else. Im tired of feeling like im crazy. And he keeps calling them muscle spasms and they fit the deffinition of fasiculations so im not sure if im getting through to him on what is going on with me but i don't know explain it any better

yeah the whole situation kinda has me baffled and if i wasn't completly floored about the question i would of thought to say well should i of applied. Had the mri done today first one ive ever had and i about had a panic attack. Hopefully on the 20th i will have some anwsers tired of going to each apt and expecting one just to end up disappointed. Im really hoping he just tells me its benign fasiculation sydrome instead of something serious. My half brother has ms and if i have it to my mother will be a wreck since my other sister who is 13 has only one leg due to diabetes and my youngest brother who is 7 has downs sydrome. she has her hands full without having to worry about me to.

Hi there,

I don't think we've met yet! Big hello and nice to meet you.

Only thing I can think of ref. the SSI comment is that he feels your limitations are enough currently to pursue it?

Sounds like a keeper for now with the comment that he wants to get to the bottom of it. And, hopefully MRI will help point the workup in the right directions.

Good luck on Monday!
See you around,
-Shell

i think you definitely should sign up for ssi to help you with your kids and expenses and medical bills (they would give you a medical card) espiecially if your docter bought it up, but you need to tell him to give you proof to give to ssi. i hope all is well with you!
