multiple sclerosis

My left leg has been burning since March 7th of this year. I'm trying to understand exactley what subcentimeter foci of abnormal high T2/FLAIR signal intensity diffusely scattered throughout the subcortical  matter and periventricular regions of the cerebral hemispheres bilaterally including at least one lesion in the posteroir  limb of the right external capsule which has a ringlike configuration. what? can you explain

Hey, take a look at our health pages - they're in the upper right hand corner of this page.

What your MRI shows is a number of lesions in areas that are suggestive of MS.  The 'ring-like' configuration of the lesion in the right external capsule is an indication that this is a old lesion that has gotten new enhancement.

While you're being evaluated for MS, see if they'll do an MRI of your thoracic spine.  The leg burning could be an indication that you have a lesion in the spine.
