Hi Lulu,
I go every 2-3 months depending on how I am doing. He said in his last report to my PCP that he is not totally happy with how I am doing.
I go back in 2 weeks. I will have my PT andOT report and my complaint!! I have gone from unaided walking last year to needing a rollator and AFO's in a year.
I do not always need the walker but I can not go far without having something to hold on to.
I don't know. Maybe the DMD's are not going to work for me. That really is my biggest concern.
I know what you mean about the foot pulling. My right foot pulls right off of my left when I place it there with my hand. It is so frustrating and I feel so stupid!

Hi LA,
I just wrote a response and then got distracted because I found wishforchange's dog in the community member photos and had to stop and drop her a note. Of course I lost everything I wrote to you!
I'm in my recliner doing the foot crossing test and it feels like it works the hip. My left - right is much better than my right over left. And my right over left won't stay that way, it pulls back until the feet are parallel. Does that make sense?
Definitely have that DMD talk with your doctor - if the avonex doesn't appear to be working to slow this down you can always try something else. How long has it been since you were at the neuro? I hope the doctor is aware of all your physical changes.
my best,
Lulu
Thanks Yvette,
I go to my Ms doctor in two weeks. I have been on Avonex for a year now and I am aggravated.
I keep showing new issues and am not happy about it. I either need something other than Avonex or if nothing is going to work I was to stop taking a shot every week.
I am so irritated. I look ok but I have a walker and will now have AFO's. I need help with my house work. Which I am getting. But it does not make this any less of a frustration.

It deffinitly sounds like a problem with coordination of movement of the muscles in your hip and thigh. Probably some combination of weak muscles and tight muscles not working together properly. Your PT should be able to determine what exercises that would help.
Sorry I don't know whether to call it progression or flare. Someone else will have to chime in on that.
