Hey aroma,
I believe that burning in the legs & feet are fairly common in ms. I suffer from both at times, but lately it seems to have improved. No idea why, but I'm not complaining! Hope that yours goes away soon also...
peace,
loden
I have feet issues as well. There are two components to my foot problems. They can feel like I have really bad athlete's foot, which manifests as a burning sensation under my toes. The other issue is that they can feel like someone just dropped a bowling ball on my feet. Sometimes, if I'm really luck, it's both! :-)
This kind of pain is referred to as neuropathic pain. There is nothing wrong with my feet, but the pain sensors get bad messages from my brain. They fire when thee is no reason. I take meds to deal with it. Currently I take 3600mg gabapentin and 50mg amitriptilyne every day. This combination made all of my issues go away, completely!.

I'm not formally diagnosed yet (so far my dx is "probable MS, but atypical") but the foot thing I can really relate to. For me it's like the heat you feel when standing in hot sand (or for those of you not near a beach, it's like standing on hot concrete). The only thing that helps is sitting them both in a bucket of cold water, and when they start to feel warm again I take them out of teh water and prop them up on the table where the breeze from a desk fan helps cool them down further as they dry. I keep this cycle up for a few hours until they have settled down enough to get to sleep.
The also feel bruised all over and lumpy like I'm walking on marbles.
To look at them though, you'd think nothing was wrong.
Welcome to the forum. I get this too. Your doctor should be able to give you medication to help with the muscles cramping. It won't get rid of it completely, but it should help.
Like Kelly said, it's a parastesia. There's not much to help with those. It's all pretty alarming at first, but after a while it's kind of like living near a highway. You notice it when you think about it- but it's usually more or less like background noise.

Thanks for comment., I think same..,
Hi, I think it can definitely be related to MS. A lot of us who have MS get paresthesia - which would including a feeling of burning (and also other sensations like pricking, tingling, numbness, etc).
Your muscle cramps could also be from MS.
