neurology

I have SPMS and for years have had, during flare ups, from head to toe full tightening of all muscles that seem to sometimes contort my body, arching my back, lasts 10 seconds or more, releases then happens again and again until my valium kicks in. I have researched and haven't found anyone else that experiences this. Is this rare?

I have heard of the pump, my neurologist has never mentioned it as something to help me, but I will bring it up next visit. I do take Baclofen 4 times a day right now.

Thank you!

Have they mentioned a Baclofen pump to you? The Baclofen gets pumped directly into the spinal fluid. What you describe is not all that rare. I have several friends who have baclofen pumps. Because it goes directly into the spine you do not need as high a dose of baclofen and you have less side effects such as drowsiness.
