I understand about the children.  I am stuck at home with two of the darlings myself.  The EMT will let the ride along if they are otherwise unattended!

Don't go to the ER - call 911.  If it is a heart attack, you don't want to be behind a wheel anyway if you pass out or die.  The best thing to do is call an ambulance, and they will come to your house.  They have everything they need to deal with a heart attack, from adrenaline to nitroglycerine to a electric chest shocky-thingie.  Seriously.  

I once drove my husband all the way to the doctor's office because he was having chest pains.  They told me the best thing to do was to call 911 - they would have gotten to my house a lot faster!

I think it might have been a gas pain, because it is easing up now.  It felt like a knife riping pain between breast. as a matter of fact I had twice this week, but not has bad as my attack today.   I am going to call my doctors office.

As ess said NOW  911...you could be having a heart attack.  I am not suggesting you are but please don't take any chances.

You need to call 911 NOW. Please don't mess with this. I don't know you or anything about your medical history, but I'd give the same advice regardless. Please go to an emergency room right away.
