Mini update

I did hear late this afternoon on my MRI and there were no big surprises there since it was thoracic and lumbar only.   They confirmed the existence of the lesion on T3 and identified two herniated discs, one around T2 and one which must be around T8 or so (I have seen the films which are not high enough to count from C1).  They said the herniations were not compressing the spine so they shouldn't be causing much in the way of symptoms.

Anyway, what I wanted to find out were the results of the LP from LAST Monday.   Oh well, I guess N3 wants to keep me in suspense until my appointment Monday at 11:15, which will be the last one with this goofball.

Hopefully N4, to be determined, will be much more on top of his or her game!   I have determined, when you move to a new city, it's hard to find good docs; it is sort of hit or miss!

I hope that next week will bring you some answers, I know all this waiting only causes more stress...  :-(

Well, there is an MS specialist who is the head of the MS Center at one of the big hospital chains here in Charlotte....   He is my numero uno choice for N4, since one of my sister's friends who has MS sees him and she said he is very careful, thorough with a good bestside manner.

So, my PCP is pulling all of my records together, with some help from me and he already has access to my latest MRI's of everything CNS and the *$#(*$ $#(((#** LP results, whenever they saunter in!

So, I am hoping to get on his schedule this fall.   He is hard to get an appointment with, so we'll see.

Yes, Luciano is my number two tenor, he is way cool.   And definitely tonight I must sleep!  :-)

Sorry you have to wait it out till Monday for your LP results.  How are you going about finding N4?  Do you just go through the phone book till you find one you can see quickly, or does your insurance company send you a list, or does your PCP refer you?  Do you ever check those websites where patients rate their MDs?  Those can sometimes be a valuable source of info.


I just finished listening to Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma from Puccini's Turandot.  Gives me chills every time.  I will def check out the Verdi piece.
