Weirdest thing yet

OK this has happened before but only lasted maybe a minute or two and didn't really think about it at all then. This time it lasted around 10 minutes.

I was watching TV when all of a sudden a pale yellow bar appeared across my vision. I would say it probably covered 75% of my vision, but I could still see through the yellow bar and see what was behind it. It didn't matter where I looked the bar was constantly there. Also of probable note is that the vision in my left eye has been very blurry for several days.

I have seen my eye doctor between these two episodes but didn't think to mention the previous one to her. Not sure what to think of this though now.

It sounds like a bout of ON to me...  strangest visual symptoms I've ever experienced has been with ON.  I would mention it to your regular eye doc as well as your neuro.

Lulu,

Last CBC was about 2 weeks ago. I don't know the results though yet.

Just a totally off-the wall question - when was the last time you had a  CBC (complete blood cell count) done?  My father was having strange vision problems as you have described when his platelet count was way wrong.  And it would also come and go.  For some reason that came to me as I was reading this.

Just a thought-

Red,

No this is different, the bright lights effect me in the same way as you mentioned.

Hi Dennis,

Does this happen after a sort of bright spot on TV hits your eyes?

I sometimes have an area on my eye that feels like it shutsdown after seeing something bright.   With me it becomes a dull area.  Is it similar to that?
