Thank you very much!!
Victoria
Hey Victoria,
Well let me start of by saying, I posted the name of my nuero and Im assuming because of protection of us its not really advised to put any names on the forum, even nueros. Im just saying...
Im sorry youve been written off for 10 years, i only have 3 years of unwrittness in my belt, so you have me in awe at 10! Since im pretty much at the stage you are right now I dont know really what advice to give you. If your PCP suspects MS and all other diseases have been ruled out I dont see why you shouldnt go see an MS specialist especially since you havent been diagnosed in 10 years. They are well equiped from what I hear to make even educated guesses (from what i hear lol).
But it wouldnt hurt just going to a regular nuero either since your PCP already established a path in which to go...
Perhaps someone else could chime in?
Good luck and keep us posted

The answer to your main question is - yes, you should request to be seen by an MS specialist and not just a general neurologist. the MS docs are up to date on everything, including diagnostic tools whereas the general neuro has 100's of diseases to track and stay current on.
So you really do want to change that and see a specialist.
You can search for those through the MS Consortium website .... mscare.org
As for people in MI, go to the upper right side of this page and select the icon that says members. From there you can search for the members in Michigan andd perhaps PM them you question about neuros.
Good luck and keep us posted.
