sclerotic lesion, could be MS???

I'm 37 yrs old and have excruciating severe back and neck pain, tingle sensation in my hands and numbness in my legs. I have constant muscular spams in my chest and neck. I had an MRI and the impressions were as follows:
1. Posterior herniation of the C5-C6 disk
2. sclerotic lesion in T6, most probably benign
3. L2-L3 and L4-L5 disk desiccation and mild spondylosis
4. Dural sacs cyst in sacral spine
(i had an radical hysterectomy a few yrs ago and a very bad car accident 8 yrs ago and a history of LUPUS -mother).

Hi there,

Welcome! Geesh! 37 and all this! That must of been a bad accident - I'm glad you survived it.  From what I remember there only use to be a 10% chance of those with lupus having a close family member carry it too. But that may have changed by now.
Hope you don't mind me asking, does Mom have systemic lupus?

From your brief descript this sounds structural to me too. But, if there are other things going on, and your comfortable to say, please tell us - we may have more thoughts - not all problems associated w/C and T-spine are because of structure damage.

Thank you much for trusting us enough to join and ask questions.  I'm sure more will come along with thoughts and welcomes.

What type of doc ordered the imaging?

See you around,
~Shell

Hi and welcome.  From what you write, my initial reaction is this doesn't sound like MS.  You have enough structural problems with your spine that can cause all of these problems.  But I am no doctor or medical expect.  Do you have any followup scheduled with your doctor?

best, Lulu
