MRI question please

Bihemispheric corticomedullary and centrum semi-ovale white matter lesions noted area fewer periventricular white matter lesions are seen. Corpus callosum is intact. There are no findings of mass or hemorrhage.

Impression: Bihemispheric white matter changes most of which are more typical of vascular etiology. Demyelinating disease cannot be excluded.

Ok.....in English....what does that mean and what questions should I be asking when speaking to doc?

Thanks so much ~

Thank you so much for your time!
Yes I am seeing a Neurololgist had exam, that lead to MRIs.
Another doctor said I had Fibro 2 years ago, pain level 1-10 mine has remained in the 8 to 10 range for 2 years with no break. I started falling just outta of the blue simply walking and then boom. The doctor ran blood tests etc. and then said that there wasnt any more that he could do .....that lead me to on my own finding the Neurologist.
I am to speak with him tomorrow about the tests I just was trying to give myself a heads up as to what to ask and speak about with him
thank you so very much

Welcome to the forum.

In English, the report says that what they see on your MRI looks like vascular (blood vessel) damage. This generally means ischemia, or tiny blood vessel issues (which usually cause no symptoms whatever). But they are also saying that it's possible you have a demyelinating disease, the most common and obvious one being MS.

Please note, though, that all this has to be viewed in the context of whatever else is happening with you. Are you being seen by a neurololgist? You need a full neurological exam and many other tests before any conclusions can be drawn.

If you feel comfortable posting about your symptoms and what led to a brain MRI being ordered, perhaps we can give you more concrete comments.

Best of luck,
ess
