suffering with tn pain any advice would be appreciated

yes they said it is trigeminal neurlagia and put in the reccomendation to start the carbamazepine 2x perday. but my gp started me on the carbamazepine once per day and so i was getting terribel pain when this would wear off he finally hads me on it two times per day and seems to be under control he said he was reluctant to start 2x per day duee to my fatigue but when i told him i did not sleep at all the night before because of the pain and that i had taken 6 tramacet in a period of 8 hrs he decided to up it 2 2 times per day like the ms clinic had recommended.my spinal mri showed  a 3mm. focus that is enhancing in the cervical region.

Hi Mary,

Did the neuro get the MRI results yet, and can you call the office ref. the pain? Would be good for doc to see this in realtime to dicipher the source of the face pain, i.e, see if it is indeed tn, etc.
No sense in suffering w/this and them not knowing :(
Hope you feel better soon, and maybe some will have some thoughts on what to do ref. the pain in the meantime. Short of meds, I don't think there is a whole lot that relieves it except that if it is TN.
