Like I said, it's going to feel like a rollercoaster for a while....

That's why we're here.  So many have been in your shoes before, Pins.  I know they'll start to speak up and chime in.  Take it easy for now and roll with the ups and downs.  We'll still be here.

I think my doc is pretty satisfied, I am the one doubting now.
I tested positive for oligoclonal banding in October.
My first MRI in October had 1-2 "questionable" areas of increased activity. One doc (my current doc) thought I should be re-tested in 2-3 months. My second opinion doc at OHSU thought the MRI was "not consistent with MS", but they were looking at a cd, not the actual films. They also insisted that the MRI was done without contrast, but I think those files were not on the cd they saw.
My second MRI from last week showed the questionable areas were larger and that there were 2-3 areas.
He thinks it is initial stages of MS, but there is always the chance it was a CIS. His rec is that I should go on the meds. Right now I am feeling pretty good, not like before the flare up, but pretty darn good. The thought of taking meds the rest of my life is a bit of a downer.

I'm sure it's going to take some time for everything to sink in for you.  It seems to be the way it goes, even though you knew in your heart all along.

My 11 yr old son has a t-shirt that says, "Sarcasm, one of the many services I provide"  which I love, but sometimes you just can't muster it up, can you?  It'll come back to you....

I am glad you're feeling well for now.  It's much better  than the alternative, right?  And it sounds like your doc will be on top of starting you on medications to stop the progression.  Is he satisfied, do you think with the diagnosis?

Hang in there, Pins!

Darn it, now you have gone and made me cry! I was trying to be tough and cover it all up with sarcasm. Guess it is for the best.

I am okay. It was kinda of a shock today, but I really did feel all along that it was MS and they just didn't have enough info yet. I am feeling good right now, my initial flare up has passed and very little residual symptoms. Just some irritating buzzing in my feet and legs. I really cannot complain, because I know I have it easy right now, unlike many of you who post here.

Thank you for being there, and I needed that hug!
