A few meds to consider: gabapentin, amitriptyline, pregabalin, Wellbutrin.
Other temporary aids: ice packs, cool baths.
Mechanical compression eg: those knee socks for travelling on airplanes; Ace bandage.
Thank you I do have my appt and my parents are going with me. We have wrote down the 4 episodes I have had the length and what happened hope that suffices as evidence something is wrong. I will try the stretching. And let u know Friday what the good doc says. Have heard good things about him so more comfortable now.
I wish we could give you something concrete to help. Sometimes people are able to distract themselves from the odd sensations with activities that demand their full mental attention. Every once in a while moderate cold or heat applications will help - or some stretching exercises - or maybe even an anti-imflammatory. Other than that, it usually means prescription medications or alternative medicine approaches like accupuncture.
Do you still have your appointment with a new neuro on Friday? Be sure to concentrate on getting on your information organized in your head and on paper so you can present your case clearly.
I'm hoping he will address the long standing issues you've shared with us.
Sorry I can't think of more to offer in the present moment. I do know these abnormal sensations can grab a person's focus and refuse to let go. It can be very frustrating and discouraging. Maybe someone else will share a trick they know.

Did you see a doctor and get a nerve test. Yhey place small injection like probes under the skin and send tiny shocks where they have placed them on your legs , feet and legs? To see if it is caused by the brain or you may have something in the spine wrong sending the wrong signals to your leg. Most likely a herniated disc. Slipped disc!
Have u tried gabape tin????
