tingling patch in mouth?

I have a quick question...aside from all of the recent vibrations and muscle twitches on my tongue..I now have a tingling patch about the size of a quarter on the top front right side of my mouth......it is very ere...My question is...is this MS symptom?  or is it something I should go to the dentist for?  I have an appointment for a brain scan and follow up with my MS specialist in June.  I am going to wait til June if is is MS, but just wanted to know if I am correct in thinking its a new sx.
Thanks,
Belle

Then I wouldn't worry about it.  I've had random tingling inside my mouth, and it's very strange.  Numb tongue as well!

Depends on where the tingling is, and if you have any actual dental pain

Um i'm not sure about this one, because other things do cause this feeling too (google you'll find quite a few), so i'm a maybe, maybe not and i'll stay sitting on the fence. ;o)

I do have oral issues one is purely allergy related I get mouth ulcers from whitening toothpaste products but the main oral issues affect my speech and sometimes swollowing but i feel nothing orally, my tongue just doesnt move right. lol talking or chewing makes the situation worse.

I do have jaw issues that is either very painful or totally numbing out half my face, tingling is part of that too but its so hard to tell if the inside of my mouth is tingling from anything other than biting it when my jaws twisted.  When half my face is weirding out on me, its the pain or numbness that sort of grabs my undivided attention. lol

Q: On the opposing view..,if it was something else wouldn't it just be a solid tingling that doesn't go away?
A: Again not necessarily, lets say for example the issue is dental, everytime the person does a bit of talking or chewing the tongue or cheek is irritated by the movement, so the feeling comes and goes.

So after saying all that, most of my oral issues can be attributed to muscular dysfunction and the other one deffinitely not, so its not a good idea to assume its always the one cause.

Cheers.........JJ

Sadly, that's basically my summer - whole bunch of fatigue, spasms and memory issues.  I do much better when the weather's cooler.

I have noticed the middle and later portion of my weeks have started to show all of my annoying symptoms...muscle twitches, spasms, tingling, dragging, memory issues, and fatigue. I can't wait for summer break to get here so I don't have to be as busy!

Unless it's caused by external sources (electricity, chemicals, etc.,) then your tingling is neurological - a paresthesia.  It's possible that the tingling is caused by a bad filling that's pressing on a nerve, causing the paresthesia - but it's still paresthesia, even if it may not be MS.  But if you say it comes and goes, then probably it's the MS.  My symptoms get worse in the middle of the day.

Thanks for your input! My vote is thinking it's MS it comes and goes. I'm having fatigue yesterday afternoon and today. I slept 16 hours last night and today I could still sleep. Ugh! I wish my body would just behave! Hehehe

On the opposing view..,if it was something else wouldn't it just be a solid tingling that doesn't go away?

Tingling is a very common MS symptom - and tingling in the face is even more common.  It's what sent me to the doctor in the first place.

My money is with it not being an ms symptom

Probably, yes.  For me, any sort of tingling/buzzing/creepy crawlie sensation gets shoved into the MS pile.
