Hi debindiana, luluohio here. Welcome to the forum.
Of course we always have the option of stopping our therapy drugs. The main question you want to ask is does the Tysabri help and if the answer is yes, what price can you put on your health.
From your question I am not sure if you are talking about the cost of the Tysabri or the cost of the infusion center (or wherever you get your monthly IV's done).
Have you talked to the BioGen folks about assistance with this cost? You could also maybe apply to NORD, but I understand that is a time consuming process.
Before you make a final decision, please go to your neurologist and have this discussion with your doctor. They may know of other options that could be of help to you, too.
I hope to see you around here again.
be well, Lulu
Hi, Deb,
Sounds like we got the same insurance - I, too, have the same max out of pocket figure, I'm on Tysabri, and I'm having a hard time paying the infusion center. I got funding through Tysabri, and I have a very low co-pay. I also applied for assistance at the infusion center. I haven't heard from them, yet, so they'll just have to accept what I can pay them when I can. I'm only having my 3rd infusion this week, so I'm not sure if it's working yet.
Good luck, and maybe apply for assistance through your hospital.
