visual changes

My husband went to a few appointments at an MS center over the last couple of months. It's finally beginning to sink in that some of his difficulties are due to MS>

Today he said that he has noticed that when he looks at numbers/reads, his vision has been blurry.
How do we know if this is an MS issue or just typical eye changes?
Should he go to an MS optometrist?
Thanks! You are all so helpful!

Hi AS-

I'm not sure how old your husband is, but there comes a time when many could use a little help reading. It has nothing to do with MS, just part of the passage of time :-)

Several years ago it became clear that my arms were no longer long enough to allow me to read. Reading glasses are now required to bring pinted material into focus.

I would start with a regular eye doctor and they will refer him. I had my eyes checked and after having perfect vision needed glasses! I was surprised, but the world is brighter with them :)
