went to PC today....praying for some relief!

I have an appt with an MS specialist on Aug.10th however in the meantime have been suffering since July4th, I had to have surgery on the 16th and since my symptoms have increased! Cognitive issues, dizziness, fatigue, extreme heat intolerance, weakness, numb spots, spasms, losing vision on and on. No one (PC or Neuro) has been willing to treat me due to no diagnosis so have been suffering terribly! Anyhow saw my PC this morning and she is consulting with my Neuro to put me on oral prednisone to see if that helps at all. Has anyone used oral steroids? Did they help at all? I am so sick and cant take it anymore and am just praying for some relief!

Thank you both so much for your input. I really appreciate it! They are supposed to call it in tomorrow so we'll see. At this point any amount of relief will be amazing!

I have had the exact same results as Ren on my one experience with oral prednisone. I would try it again because it did provide some relief.

I hope it works well for you!

Best of luck,

Deb

I have taken oral prednisone and it does provide some relief. Not total relief but enough welcome relief. I hope that you are feeling better soon.

The stress of surgery is probably what put you in the state of misery but it will pass, just give it time and be sure to get plenty of rest.

Wishing you the best,
Ren
