Help understanding Brain MRI results

Hi, my name is Alison and I am new in here. I have had MS for 4 years (dx), but had symptoms for another 6 years prior to this.

I have my Brain MRI results and I am wondering if anyone in here can help me understand them?

Focal area of high signal on T2 close to Occipital Horn on the left.
Focal area left frontal lobe.
Focal area right Occipital Lobe

I had an MRI with contrast, also known as a Gadolinium Scan.

If no-one can help with my MRI, I wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction of another website etc?

Many thanks to all...
Alison

If you need ANYTHING we are here for you.  If you need further explanation, please do not hesitate to ask.

If your doctor feels that everything looks better than last time, then I am kind of confsued why the radiologist wrote what he did.  I am sure that you are confused bythat too.

I believe that I would call the Neuro and ask HIM what the radiologist meant and if he still think things look better than last time.

MRI's are on of the most confusing aspects of dealing with all this MS testing, in my opinion.  Even after 13 years from diagnosis, I STILL do not understand it fully and probably never will.

Quix is the greatest for sorting out all of our questions on MRI's even though she was never a Neuro but a retired pediatrician.  She sorts out all the medical lingo for us and makes it easier for all of us to understand.

I encourage you to continue to ask questions and come to us for friendship and caring.

Best Wishes,
Heather

Hi...

My Neuro is only saying that they results of my MRI are better than last time. Thats it really, no explanation or anything!! Stupid me didn't ask either... I get so flustered when I go to the clinic to see him.

I am wondering about the locallity of the leisons to my symptoms.

Thanks for your reply too.

Many thanks

Therer is a great section at the top right of the front page called Health Pages.  Look at the MRI information there and if you have any questions, please let me know.  I'll see what I can do to help.

What is your doctor saying about these results and the lesion locations?

Quixotic or Heather will be able to help you.  Also, if you have MS or suspect that you have MS an MRI of your spinal cord is just as important.
