thanks for sharing that, Mike.  one of my favorite gifts was a chainsaw -really!  I've also gotten a super-duper leaf blower and other yard tools ..  Now if only this year my family could give me some energy to use them!

Yes...HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the Mom's out there!!!!

I recal a couple of my favourite M/day gifts

One year I bought my mother a tree. She was visiting us. We lived 600 miles apart. I planted the tree in my backyard and told her she'd have to arrange for watering and pruning with a yard maintenance company.

I am her favorite son! (her only son, too)

I looked after the tree, no charge.

Another year I bought my wife a garden trailer to pull behind the yard tractor. She loved it. No, really, she did. A woman we know said "she's gonna kill you". But she didn't.

I'm the best husband my wife ever had. (you guessed it, the only one too)
