2009 MS Centers MRI Protocol for the Diagnosis and Followup of MS

I was looking in the health pages, and I noticed that there was a 2003 Protocol and a comparison of the 2003, 2006 and 2009 protocols, but I did not see a copy of the 2009 MS Centers MRI Protocol for the Diagnosis and Followup of MS.  So I posted one.  We often talk about the MRI MS protocol, so I figured some folks might want to see what is actually in it.  One of the biggies to keep in mind is that these are only "recommendations" and nothing says your neurologist, imaging center, etc has to go by the recommendation.  Also, if the Neurologist writes the order for "MRI of Brain and Neck per CSMC MS Protocol"  the imaging center has three to pick from.  I think I'd look for the order to say something like:
"MRI of Brain and Neck with and without contrast per CSMC 2009 MS Protocol"

Here is the CSMC page: http://mscare.org/cmsc/images/pdf/mriprotocol2009.pdf

  Hi Bob,

I did a comparison of sorts which included the 09 guidelines. Yours as a stand-alone is very good and needed. We didn't have one dedicated solely to 2009.

Check it out:
