Am I going crazy or do I have a neurological malfunction?

Started 6 weeks ago with a sudden increase in saliva & bitter taste & dizziness. 2 weeks later I had a strange day, feeling I was dreaming whilst awake type of deja vu & processing what I saw & heard in peculiar images in my mind - though I still went through motions of normality. Was on holidays with my adult daughter & she didn't notice anything.

That night I was sitting on the toilet (sorry about detail but important) for minor ablution & suddenly I was in a black void with a bizarre image of huge sinewy arm muscles pulling in opposite directions - felt I was being tugged/shaken & that I had to struggle against something, a presence. I came-to upright on the toilet with my hands clenched but didn't know where I was. Slowy bathroom became familiar. Next a.m. felt tired & out of it (normally high energy) & muscles around neck shoulder sore & jaw/teeth hurt.

Tests done later over a week - CT scan (no contrast), EEG and tests for flow of blood to brain via neck arteries (for t.i.a) - all normal. Since then I've had a brief strange vision (hallucination?) followed that evening by peculiar memory loss/confusion - kept forgetting what TV program I'd been watching when flicking channels during ads.

Week later had 2 episodes in 1 day of visual disturbance - dancing/flickering colourful lights/geometric shapes starting in my left peripheral & spreading enough to interfere with my vision.

Neurologist appt is in 2+ weeks. My GP sees no urgency & suggests might be my mind reacting to old stress but I have NEVER experienced any of these symptoms before  - especially a blackout. Still have bitter taste & periodic dizziness like I'm about to topple. Mild sporadic headache & pressure feeling on top/front/forehead.

Was healthy, happy, active and not stressed out prior to this happening. Am I going crazy?

As I made clear in my question, I was not under stress at the time (nor just prior) & had reached a point in my life where everything is coming together, happy & relaxed having a holiday with my daughter and little grandson.
I have posed this question on other medical websites & well qualified medical people have answered in a suitable medical manner (not just a don't-worry-dear-its-just-your-demons-within).
All of the replies were in synch. Signs of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy which can be missed from EEG (unless seizure actually during the test) & also may not show a pathology on a CT scan. MRI may be more accurate.
Understandably I am now stressed because things like this just don't happen out of the blue for no reason. I will be relieved to know a cause but with TLE I'm told, often a cause is not clear & will have to make a decision about medication.
Other members may agree if they've had any unprecedented experience, that a frightening event like this cannot be put out of your mind - simply dismissed.

Dear Friend,
You are not going crazy.I purposefully wanted to begin with this statement.
There are too many unthoughtful thinking in our mind, of which even we are not aware of.Only the subconscious mind know these stuffs. When we are under some stress, these thinking get out, and appear as some sort of demon arising within.I am sure, you are going through this sort of issue.
i would suggest you to stick out with your neurologist as well as GP as neurologist would give u a perfect diagnosis where as your GP will be your first point of contact.
Just don't give much attention about these thoughts and don't try to recollect them also.
Rest all will be fine.
Regards
