Headaches progressing to bad neck pain

The type of headaches I get start at the front of my head moving to the top and ending with intense neck ache in the space of an hour. They gradual headaches they slowly built up to intense pain. Sometimes they happened on the first day of my menstrual period but sometimes are triggered by a bout of sneezing. I have chronic sinusitis but I don't think this headaches are related to it. When I'm tense up I get neck ache but I don't know weather they are related to that because my headache starts from the front of the head to the neck not the other way around. If I wait too long to take an ibruprofen it takes ages for the headache to subside and yesterday was so bad I decided to take my blood pressure and it was very high 160 over 98 (my blood pressure normally is 130 over 70) I took a reading every minute for 5 minutes and went back to normal. I don't know if the reading was high because I panic and went up the stairs. I asked my husband to take me to emergency and doctor took my blood pressure and it didn't show up high so she wanted to give a shot for the pain but by then the pain was getting better and I said there was no need. I'd like to mention that I had an MRI scan 6 months ago because of that but couldn't see anything. The frequency of the headaches is hard to monitor, I might get 2 in three months and not have them again for another to months. My doctor says it could be a mixture of migraines and tension headaches, but they terrifying and worry that the building up to something worse.
I would appreciated your advice.

Thanks in advance for reading my post.

Dear Friend,
Many thanks for the post.
After reading your post, i can think of 2 reasons only -
1) Migrane,
2) Stress induced.(Tensional)

There is no other reason for the same. Your blood pressure is within the normal limit.
Stress is the major cause of headache and hence can be a main factor in inducing the same.
However we really need to rule out migraine also, in this scenario.

A good neurologist will be able to help you out on this. I could had given a diagnosis myself, but since i have not examined you physically, i am restraining myself to do so.

Your present doctor is correct, but no harm in taking a second opinion.

Also you can do Yoga and have a relaxed life and sneeze less.
This should help you.

Please discuss more, if you have slightest of doubts,
Regards

There's one doubt  I have, can tensional headaches  start from the front of the head and progress to the back of the neck??? or is it normally the other way around???I always think the worse and I panic which doesn't help.I will consult my doctor about having another MRI.

I will try meditation and yoga

Thanks so much for your advice
