Hi.. We still did not discussed the treatment protocol yet with any one . got report saying it may be because of Klippel Feil Syndrome ,just exploring the options and getting views from experts .
Hi Smallgirl,
Nice to meet you also.
Did you discussed the treatment protocol?
Dear Abhiijeet,
This is my daughter's Xray(age 3 years) which we did in Australia, she had a hearing problem which we did cochlear implantation , there is webbed neck problem also ,just exploring whether we can rectify it . We are basically from A.P,India , nice to meet you through this .
Dear Friend,
The neck region has got 7 "Cervical Vertebras" and they have muscles and ligaments, via which they are attached to each other. All these 7 bones can move over each other via these muscles/ligaments.
These muscles and ligaments are classified as "Anterior" and "posterior" parts.
If the posterior part becomes stiff, such that no movement can occur in it, we call it "Calcification". When the calcification is so severe that on x-ray, the doctor can see a new bone like shadow, it's called as "Fusion of Posterior Elements".
Regarding the Odontoid process, it's present over the C-2 and if the size is small, we call it "Hypo-plastic".
Need to know, whose X-Rays are these??
Regards
