asymptomatic but white matter hyperintensities

Hello, i am 30, and have hyperthyroidism. I also get quite alot of headaches which i think is due to my sinuses which are always inflamed... Anyway had MRI done in 2000 and was meant to follow up after 5 years but i forgot and had an MRI done recently. Going to see a neurologist soon but the report said multiple periventricular hyperintensities and deep white matter hyperintensities, significantly increased since 2000 now 0.35-2.8cm. Largest area of signal abnormality in the left posterior parietal lobe near atrium of the left lateral ventricle.... Also marked mucosal inflammatiopn of maxillary sinuses.

Is this indicative of anything... i dont have any other symptoms and just wondering what it could be or worried that i could be something like MS in the future???.....

hi buddy,
see, you finally got a diagnosis, and that's not MS.
Are you not happy with it?
We doctors always think of common conditions , as disease, first.
Migraine looks like a correct diagnosis.
All i pray now is that, you respond to the treatment which he has given to you.

Hi, i went to see a neurologist and he said it could be due to migraines, since i occasianlly feel nauseous with my headaches. Anyway he has given me flunarazine 5mg tabs to take every night for 2 weeks and then return to see him. He said if it doesnt help then we might need to do some invasive tests as a last resort. I am asymptomatic well nothing other than headaches so not very keen on doing any invasive tests... whats your opinion.

hello phsmith78,
don't think of MS(multiple sclerosis) so soon.
Visit your neurologist with no diagnosis in your mind.
You will be happy with the diagnosis then.
