Hi there. Take your child to an otolaryngologist for ear examination. Ear infection or foreign body in the ear could cause referred pain to the same side of head or middle ear infection from the previous nasal infection, which could have traversed to the ear. An urgent MRI head is required to check for any intracranial lesion, tumor, cyst, aneurysm. An infection of the meninges called meningitis from the nasal infection could also be the cause. This should be shown to a pediatric neurologist at immediate notice since this can worsen and present with other symptoms and other neurological sequelae. Hope this helps.
