more twitching questions

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR TAKING THE TIME TO ANSWER MORE QUESTIONS, I HOPE YOU REALISE WHAT A GOD SEND YOU ARE TO SO MANY IN NEED OF REEASSURANCE.
SO YOU WILL REMEMBER ME I AM THE 500LB BENCH PRESS GUY.
STILL HAVING NO WEEKNESS AT ALL LIFTING AND RUNNING ALMOST EVERY DAY.
I READ FROM ONE OF YOUR OLD QUESTIONS ON 4-27-01THAT EMG AFTER FASCICS ARE PRESENT WITH A NORMAL RESULT, YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE WHEN THE PAPIENT HAD ALS. IN OTHER WORDS ONE THAT DID NOT PICK UP ON IT, IS THIS STILL TRUE?
I ALSO DID NOT MENTION I HAD A BAD PROBLEM WITH MY LOWER BACK 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE FASCICS STARTED. REMEMBER THEY ARE MOSTLY IN MY CALVS .IN THE PAST YEAR BEFORE THIS LAST BACK PROBLEM I HAD A MRI IF NECK AND BACKCERVICAL SPIN SHOWED NORMAL,LUMBAR SPINE SHOWED DEGENERATIVE DISK AT L5S1 AND NARROWING OF DISK SPACE.
COULD IT BE WHEN I REINJURED IT 5 MONTHS AGO THIS CAUSED MY FASCICULATIONS?
THE FASCICS STARTED 2 WEEKS AFTER MY BACK WENT OUT SO BAD I COULD NOT WALK W/OUT A CAIN FOR 3 DAYS.THEN IT GOT BETTER .
ALSO I GET VERY SLIGHT SENSATIONS IN MY FINGERS AND FEET SOMETIMES. THEY GO AWAY WHEN I MOVE THEM USUALLY ONLY DURING SLEEP. COULD THIS BE A SIGN OF MS OR WOULD MS SHOW UP ON THE CERVICAL/AND LUMBAR MRI ?
AGAIN I HAVE NO OTHER SYMPTOMES AT ALL OTHER THAN THE TWITCHES, THEY DO HOWEVER SEEM TO BE GETTING LESS INTENCE AND SOMETIMES LESS FREQUENT AT TIMES.WITH ALL OF THIS ALONG WITH NO LOSS OF INDURANCE OR STRENGTH AND THE NORMAL EMG I HAD 3 MONTHS AGO,
CAN I ELIMINATE THE FEAR OF ALS AFTER S MONTHS OF FASCICULATIONS?

Not all twitching is a fascic. So if the twitching is present during the EMG, but the electrical, objective pattern is not that of a fascic, then it's not a fascic and thus very very unlikely to be ALS. I try not to use the word never or always as nothing in life is 100%.

Fasics are nbot specific for ALS. They can be present with disc disease pushing on a nerve root or peripheral neuropathy or even normal individuals.

MS can present with anything, but I would not jump to that diagnosis without further objective evidence. You have a lot of legitimate questions and concerns about your symptoms. Talk to your neurologist as they have performed your diagnostic studies and exam and know you well. Good luck.

Many people twitch and it is usually benign. I invite you to join other twitchers at the MGH neurology web forums (just put MGH forums into your browser) and go the topic NEUROMUSCULAR. You will have to register a posting name and password first. You will find many people with the same problems, fears and much friendship and good advice.
