Dear Doctors,
This is my question. For the past two years, gotten a little worse over this time period, I have had the following symptoms:
Leg pain and weird feelings in legs - legs feel like they are cold, and weak with muscle twiching in the knees, thighs and calves. It is worse when I am sitting down then when I am moving around
Muscle cramps in hands and feet and arms
When standing still, feels like I need to sit down but balance is fine
I can run on a regular basis, climb stairs, workout without any weakness or tripping.
I had an EMG done in April 2007 and I have having a MRI on May 2 2008. Th EMG results came back normal: he said I had VERY minor abnormalities but nothing to worry about.
I saw a neuro dr which didnt think I had ALS since there were no signs of atrophy or muscle weakness. What could be going on? is it MS? I am really scarwd since it has been going on for so long and gotten mildly worse. I am a little comforted by the fact that I can still do day-to-day activities. It feels like a dense vibrating feeling in my calves and knees. The weakness is mild like I said but I need for it to be resolved. I am scared it could progess further. Is it 2 years without serious weakness a sign that it isnt ALS or MS???
Please help.
Thanks, Jake
