Aggressive behaviors

My 11 year old daughter was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at birth, has a seizure disorder, cognitive delays, and mental retardation.  She has recently begun having extreme aggressive outbursts.  Due to this, she has had several medication changes.  Clonidine, lamictril, and melatonin have been added to her current  meds.  So far we are not seeing an improvement in the behaviors.  Has anyone had a similiar experience with aggressiveness in their special needs child?  I am looking for any suggestions to help my child - and family - through this situation.

I understand completely I have a 10yr old son with hydrocephalus from birth, he had a Vp shunt fitted at 6wk's old, in the last 6-8mth's he's developed the overly aggressive behaviour he has no control over it at its not rational we have just booked an appointment with the hospital to see if this is "normal" for children with hydrocephalus if you would ever like to talk by all means plz get intouch? I've never felt so alone lol colleen

I'm curious if they found a direct connection between the shunt and the aggressive behavior. Please share since it's been a little over a year since you posted. Thanks!
