Alcohol Withdrawal & Muscle Pain

Hi - I have been a regular consumer of alcohol for 5-6 years.  Approximately 6 weeks since my last drink.  I am currently in pain from severe tightness of muscles in my right shoulder and arm.  X-rays and CT scan have ruled out any injuries.  My work involves sitting at a computer for long periods.  Could my abstaining from alcohol be causing the pain in my muscles.  I am having weekly deep tissue massage (5 weeks).  However, I thought I would be better by now.
