Am I having Seziures?

Im 25, female, and through out  my day i will sometimes have a crazy spell that hits me and leaves very quickly.  I will get a whole body hot flash, intense increasing pain in the left corner of my right eye, a metal taste in my mouth, nausea, dizzyness, tunnel vision, i feel like im getting close to blacking out sometimes.   it happens alot in the same place like wal-mart, best buy, publix, walgreensbut can happen anywhere at anytime. i also notice it happens if i sneeze or someone else sneezes it will set me off.  i worry that it is getting worse and i could pass out while driving or while out with my 5yr old daughter. ive been to the doctors but they see a  healthy 25yr old.  one doctotr gave me meds and said maybe it was anxiety and when  i felt it coming on to take it but it hits so fast in seconds that its here and gone before i can even take meds. and then im just left on the ground feeling drained and taking meds for something that already happend. I dont think its anxiety it happens no matter how i feel. I just need answers this happens about 5 times a week and they last from about 3-10 min.  PLEASE HELP ME........ THANK YOU.

Thanks for using the forum. I am happy to address your questions, and my answer will be based on the information you provided here. Please make sure you recognize that this forum is for educational purposes only, and it does not substitute for a formal office visit with your doctor.

Without the ability to obtain a history from you and examine you, I can not comment on a formal diagnosis or treatment plan for your symptoms. However, I will try to provide you with some information regarding this matter.

Sorry about the above response. A previous answer to another question was included in your response. I have modified the response below:

Anxiety is a psychological and physiological condition with a multitude of symptoms. They include heart palpitations, muscle tension, fatigue, nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, headaches, and GI symptoms such as diarrhea to name a few. Anxiety can also be accompanied with panic attacks such as a feeling of impending doom or death. It seems that your symptoms do fit.

I would highly suggest you follow up with a psychiatrist to discuss your symptoms. You may have a generalized anxiety disorder and/or a social phobia.

Thank you for using the forum, I hope you find this information useful, good luck.

There are two types of sensory neuropathies in the body – large and small fibers. With small fiber neuropathies, symptoms including burning or buzzing or other vague symptoms starting in the feet and hands then in some cases spreading to other parts of the body. The EMG/nerve conduction studies (NCS) (tests done to check for neuropathy) will not show an abnormality, and a definitive diagnosis can only be made with a skin biopsy so that the number of nerve endings can literally be counted. There are other tests of the function of small nerves that can be ordered, such as QSART testing which looks at how much sweat the skin makes, since sweating is in a sense of function of these small nerves. There are several causes of small fiber neuropathy, including diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, and autoimmune problems.
