Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Body trembling at night can be due to sleep epilepsy, hypoglycemia or low blood sugar or pinched nerve in neck. Please discuss with your doctor and get investigations to rule these out. Take care!

Last night my husband woke me up while he was asleep. I turn to see what going on with him. It scared the heck out of me to the point that it left me nervous and sleepless. His whole body was shaking like a toddler have a temper tantrum while laying in bed. Really shaking as his legs lifted up about five inches high along with his arms. I called out to him tenderly by placing my hand on his chest but he just kept going. At the end he lets out a moan or a cry. I called his name again and finally opens his eyes, looks at me like questionable. He dosed off to sleep again. He is very healthy for his age of 71 but was under a lot of stress that day. This is a first episode.
