Burning Sensations - 2 years plus of no answers

Does anyone else feel my pain?  Literally?  I have had burning pain that started Aug. 06 and has come and gone.  It is usually present, and when I say "gone" I mean it feels better (not really gone).  Flip flops are the only cure at this point.  I have had all tests, all possibilities examined and nothing.  I cannot believe that no MD has answers.  I have researched everything!  I am just tired, as it makes me f"eel" tired.  I am taking Pamelor, Cymbalta and Neurontin.  I don't really think it's making a huge difference (Pamelor is probably making a dent in the pain).

Why no anwsers for what seems to be peripheral neuropathy?  Muscle twitches come with the pain, as well.  Some have suggested stress.  I don't know how to fix that!

My feet are on fire and nobody has answers - good luck to me and any MD that tackles this strange malady.

Thank you for your input.  I agree it's impossible to make a diagnosis over the internet.  I should have noted that it migrates all over my body sometimes - not just the feet.  Athlete's foot is out.  I have tried B complex but became concerned of a B6 toxicity - which causes neuropathy.  Right now I am trying Methyl B-12.  No significant help with symptoms yet.  I think stress definitely exacerbates it, but I don't know what literally causes the nerve damage and resulting pain.  I have tried several shoes - the best are flip flops (open air) and then leather shoes that are loose, because they tend to be cool.  Thanks again for your input!

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
It is impossible to give an accurate diagnosis without clinical examination. Some of the causes of burning pain in the feet include peripheral neuropathy, stress, fungal infections or athlete’s foot.
I would suggest you to try changing your shoes, socks, insoles and rotate your shoes and socks in between the walking sessions, soak your feet in cool water do not use ice.
You can also take B complex supplements and see if they improve your symptoms.
Hope this helps!
