Hi there. The post operative complications following a cervical discectomy are nerve root damage, spinal cord damage, dural leak, infection, recurrent disc herniation and continued pain. These could be causing the symptoms that you are experiencing including the heat- cold sensitivity caused by nerve damage. Consult a neurologist for evaluation and further treatment. Hope this helps. Take care.
