The last thing I want to do is scare you. However I recently visited my neurosurgeon and neurologist. I was checked for tongue fasciculation because I was experiencing these twitches mainly on the left side of my body. But there were none on the tongue. I asked what this was being checked for and they both said ALS, Lou Gehrig Disease. There is no one test for ALS. The body has to be monitored over a long period of time, an EMG should be done, possibly EEG also. And all test results along noticed symptoms and changes in symptoms are taken into account. You might want to mention this to your neurologist. I have not seen where tongue fasciculations are a sign of Chiari.
