Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. Pituitary disease can cause emotional problems like depression, anxiety, behavioral disturbances due to changes in the hypothalamic- pituitary end organ axis. other reasons for these emotional variations could be long term effects of the pituitary tumor, the treatment and the hormonal effects on hypothalamic-pituitary- organ axis. The reason behind this association is possible certain circuits and can cause apathy syndrome. I hope this answers your query. You can consult a neurologist and psychiatrist if you are suffering from depression. Wishing you all the best.

I can relate to your problem. I have suffered all of these things in which you have related on your post. All of my life I have had severe Anxiety, and depression. I have very low self esteem, and am very insecure. Dont know Why?? So this has been going on for years and years. I have trouble sleeping, the whole nine yards.I am 50 years old. 10 years ago, I see an endocrinologist and he sees I have Hypothroidism and it takes 1 year to get me regulated, and I took Synthroid first, then Armour. I felt better for about 5 years, and quit taking it. My thyroid checked good. Now, as things go along in my life. I mysteriously, develop Severe headaches, and double vision. I get so WEAK and fatigued that I have no idea why. I worked like 3 mules all my life, a go getter , with great drive. My doctor orders an MRI,without contrast and with contrast,It showed up I have an enlarged, Hypertrophy, pituitary gland pushing encroaching on my optic chiasam.I am very scared about this.As I really believe I have had this for years only to surface now. I live by myself, and just am at a loss about my life totally. Please help with any information, on any natural herbs to cope or help with this problem.

Thank you very much. This is the most useful information I have recieved from the medical profession so far. I am due to have another scan as my last one was over 25 years ago. My doctor has agreed that it is something that should be checked out more than once. I am on the list to be seen by a neurologist and psychiatrist after 20 years of depression as conuselling and medication have never been that benificial to me.

Many thanks,

Rainbowberry
