Do my cervical problems mean ill need surgery?

I've had neck issues for several years now. My most recent mri came back saying the following....

C3/C4- mild facet degenerative change

C4/C5 - mild to moderate left uncovertable osteophyte. Mild to moderate posterior disc protrusion. Mild canal stenosis and left foraminal narrowing. Mild anterior mass effect upon the spinal cord.

C5/C6 - right uncovertable osteophyte with moderate disc protrusion. There is likely encroachment upon the exiting right c6 nerve root. Mild left uncovertabral osteophyte. Mild posterior disc protrusion. Overall canal stenosis is moderate.

Now I've known my neck issues were pretty serious. I suffer from nerve pain down the arms and have for years with the numbness and weakness gradually getting worse.
My worries are that the mri findings show that I may require surgery.
Just an fyi, I've tried physio and am not a candidate for traction as it could rupture the disks.
Any input? Does this mri indeed show its time for surgery?
