Foul Smelling Urine

I recently started taking a cocktail of 3 AEDs---Dilantin,Lamictal,and Keppra.I've noticed that recently my urine has a very strong and foul odor.Does anyone know why? Has anyone else noticed a similar side effect? Is this something to be alarmed at?

Interesting, in the past few months I have been changed to Keppra and lamotrigine (lamictal). In recent weeks, my urine has developed a strong, unpleasant odour. I've had my urine tested, been on a course of antibiotics (tests came back to shoe no infection) and yet the smell is persisting.

Not an asparagus fan, and can't think what else might have caused it...

Hello.

Have you ruled out urinary infection. This is the first concern you should address. You may or may not have fever. Also make sure you are drinking enough of water / fluids.

I am not sure if these medicines can cause foul smelling urine.

How is the color of the urine? Do you get any burning sensation?

Regards
