Ok. So I've read a lot about autism and everytime there's hand flapping they are saying its most probably autism. My child is 18 months older and ive noticed him flapping his hands since he was 10 months old. Rest he is good. He eats quite variety of food like bread, crackers, rice, potato, meat, noodles, banana, pears, orange etc. he doesn't have sleeping problem. He is sleeping almost 12 hours in a day. He likes to climb stairs, tables etc. he likes to go outside and play swing, slide. He watches other Children do things and try to copy although he cannot exactly copy what they are doing. He can play with toys once or twice he learn about it. Now the issue is he hasn't spoken a single word yet although he babbles his own baby language. He doesn't point at what he wants but he grab my hand and take me to the thing he wants or to the door and signals me to open it to go out. He looks at things across room and outside when pointing but he doesn't point himself to show things. He is quite social with kids like to run after them but he has stranger anxiety with adults. So before I go to a doctor, please have your say here and direct me. My baby is a boy and he doesn't flap hands all the time. Only when he is watching TV and his favorite rhyme comes up or sometimes looking at moving trees.
