I was diagnosed with essential tremor recently. I am clumsy with hands, have neuropathy in feet, and tremors with fine motor skills like putting on makeup and typing. However, tremors in my hands wake me up, which to me would be relaxing tremors. Before even hearing about symptoms of essential and parkinsons tremors, I had a series of bad dreams, began acting them out, flailing arms and knocking things of bedside table, screaming and talking out loud. Balance has been a problem the last year. Handwriting has been very frustrating the last year. I read where essential tremor causes large, illegible handwriting, mine has gotten smaller and hard for me to read when I go back to my notes. I have begun to print, and very carefully. Please tell me if I should be tested more for Parkinsons am tired of doctors. Thanks, Sandy
i also have essential tremor that started in my hands but us now my whole body my legs are weak and shakybut when i rest they subside
Thank you very much for your response.
Hello.
Essential tremors do occur in areas other than hands and feet. These are fine tremors, usually about 8 Hz.
Your symptoms are those of essential tremors. When you have a chair with a back, the body is rested against the support. In such a state, the tremors are not obvious, but they are there.
