Impact injury pain and numbness while using arm now

Hello all

I have a problem and mri and emg both say nothing is wrong.

I had a few hundred pounds fall on my right arm. My image is a photo of the impact area about 13 day after accident. The items fell from the back of a trailer 4 feet from the ground and they where about 6.5 feet high in side the trailer.

I have had
xray= no broken bones
mri=nothing
emg = nothing other than a few artifacts that the nuro dr said was the machine fault

Since the accident i have had numbness in my pinky and ring finger,  when i use the arm for anything, (carry a gallon of milk, drive etc.) I feel pinching in my deltoid area.

I have little pain while the arm is not in use on a scale of 1 -10 it stays at about a 2 or less. When i use the arm it shoots up to a 7-8 while doing the exercises physical therapy gave me; i feel a stabbing pain around my wrist mostly on top. And a pulling sensation of the inner elbow and burning searing pain in the deltoid and a stabbing pain in the triceps. After doing the exercises or just general life duties the pain settles at about a 3-4 for 2 days.

I have stopped doing the pt exercises because the pain got worse and i could complete a set of 10 by the 4th day. The 1st day the pain would start by the 4th rep and by the 3rd day the pain was thru the all 10 reps and by the 4th day i had to stop at 6-7 reps the pain was just too intense. I tried to work thru the pain but couldn't, and the pain settle back down to a 3-4 for 4 days.

Any help would be great what could it be, the doctors just want to give my drugs but i wanna know what it could be.

Hi,
The symptoms are due to injury to the Ulnar nerve. The site of injury could be the elbow or the wrist. You have mentioned that MRI of the arm from shoulder to the elbow is normal, so the site of damage could be the wrist.  The weight may have fallen on the upper arm and shoulder, but some impact could have been taken by the wrist as well leading to the nerve injury.  Please go for MRI of the hand from elbow upto the fingers and consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
